‘Each individual pot has an illustration, a scene from the way we live. I follow themes that are often nostalgic or even slightly old fashioned. The pots tell a story, sometimes quirky, and sometimes with a touch of humour about British way of life.’
Helen was born in Sheffield in 1979. She trained at Liverpool Art School followed by Edinburgh College of Art, qualifying with a 1st class honours degree in Ceramics. After leaving Edinburgh, she moved to London where she undertook an eighteen-month apprenticeship with studio potter, Edmund de Waal.
Helen was a recipient of the CCDA award in 2005, and has received several other awards, and is supported by the Crafts Council and Arts Council, England.
