‘I enjoy the calmness of a summer’s day, as much as the invigorations of a stormy winter walk; the sky full of movement and light as the clouds continually transform. My intention is to produce an image that will trigger such a past visual experience. To create the calmness and clarity of mind that can be achieved when looking out to a horizon; free from the pressure and visual clutter of urban life.’

Martyn Perryman, b.1963, primarily works from the Portland Studios next to the woodlands of Bookham Common Surrey, England; as well as a converted Sail Loft in St Ives, Cornwall. Martyn’s work is presently represented by several galleries and is in private collections in the UK, Australia and California.
