'My work is inspired by archaeology, ancient architecture and the signs and symbols in carved rocks, temples and city walls. I love the strong sense of timelessness and continuity when faced with weathered fragments of our ancient human past.'
Born in Germany in 1941, Margrit moved to the UK in 1965. After studying degrees in Fine Art and Printmaking from the Wimbledon School of Art, Margrit has exhibited her work nationally, including the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. Her work is also featured in various publications including 'Another View: Art In St Ives' by Marion Whybrow.
