- 'New Beginnings: VI' exhibition information
Rachel Foxwell is inspired by the Cornish coastal landscape in the forms, patterns and surface textures of her simple, yet contemplative, hand-built delicate earthenware vessels. Linear textures and layers of oxide-tinted slips are a distinctive feature of her work, and the bare clay areas on each piece are finely sanded and polished to accentuate the surface textures.
Rachel graduated with a BA Hons in Ceramics from University of Wales Institute Cardiff in 2000. She has been exhibited at many galleries and contemporary craft fairs in the UK.

We are pleased to announce that the Porthminster Gallery is expanding to include a second, larger gallery space at Westcott's Quay, St Ives.
This website is still under construction but will be fully launched on the 29th February 2012.
