- 'New Beginnings' exhibition information
Katie Almond is inspired by nostalgia, old paper ephemera and vintage textiles in her handmade one-off porcelain vessels, which combine hand-painted drawings and text with collaged images and pattern details.
Katie graduated with a BA Hons from De Montfort University in 2009, and was artist in residence there until 2010. She was awarded the Therese Taylor Memorial Fund Award, and The Embroiders' Guild selection, for the Graduate Showcase. Katie has been exhibited in numerous exhibitions, and contemporary craft and art fairs throughout England.

New gallery and website
We are pleased to announce that the Porthminster Gallery is expanding to include a second, larger gallery space at Westcott's Quay, St Ives.
This website is still under construction but will be fully launched on the 29th February 2012.
